HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF OUR PARTNERS IN MISSIONS

On behalf of our entire family we wish you a “Happy & Prosperous New Year!” Our prayer is that every eldership, congregation and individual reading this will be blessed with good health and happy days. We pray for each precious individual and dedicated congregation that you will reap the blessings from your love and sacrifices to give to missions. I believe the Bible is God’s Word and I believe every promise found in its pages. God’s Word says: “Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.

GOD IS MOVING ME IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION

There comes a time in ones life that a change of direction must take place. No, I am not leaving the Open Door Ministry. I am having to change direction within the Ministry. I don't like having to make the change, but it is best for all concerned that I make these changes. The reason these changes must be made is my health. As you know, I spent two weeks in Makiti Medical center in Manila, Philippines, in November because of pneumonia. If this had been an isolated illness, I would not need to change the focus of my work. But, this round of pneumonia was not an isolated incident.

Happy New Year

Our mission efforts during 2010 were very productive in Salomague Sur, Pangasinan, Philippines, and in Tuschen, Guyana. We delivered medicines, tracts, Bibles, baptized numerous individuals into Jesus Christ, and conduct Gospel Meetings. Also, we installed Skype at the college (Philippine Theological College). Now, teachers will be able to teach the Gospel from America to the college (PTC) in the Philippines. Without God’s help we would not be able to accomplish anything in the mission field. God has blessed the Open Door Ministry.

A Look Ahead to 2011

One of the things I’ve learned in the Open Door Ministry regarding our work is that it is constantly forward-looking. The past is there for us to learn lessons from experience, but not to rest on our laurels. In Philippians 3:13, the apostle Paul states the principle of forgetting what lies behind and looking forward to the future in terms of spiritual advancement. The same principle is true of any area of life, that we must look ahead if we are going to move forward; otherwise we’ll get behind.

A Year of Transition: Please, Please help us!

In II Corinthians 8, the apostle Paul, after having commended the brethren for financially beginning a good work (v.10), then said, “But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.”
