Tuschen Church of Christ Needs New Church Building and an Overseeing Congregation
Fantastic Mission Opportunity for Mission Minded Congregation
Brethren, the work at Tuschen is such a wonderful opportunity for some congregation who wants to do something truly meaningful for the growth of the church.
We have just finalized the purchase of two adjoining lots in the Tuschen housing subdivision. Plans are for this area to have 10,000 people living in this residential community. We are blessed to have a congregation already established in Tuschen where these lots are well located. We have approximately 22 members worshiping there now and they are blessed to have a wonderful preacher who is a Guyanese National already working with them, Hari Persaud. Hari and his wife, Susanna, and their two little children have purchased a home in this new housing scheme (as it is called in Guyana). Hari is doing a good job and I think that he will continue to be a real asset to this new congregation in the years ahead.
The building they now occupy is pictured below. As you can see, it is not adequate for any future growth of this congregation. They desperately need help to build a facility that will serve them now and in the years to come. Brethren, we always need to put our best foot forward regarding the work of the Lord. The homes in this subdivision are substantial family homes. Some of the homes in this subdivision are pictured on this page. They need a church building that will enable them to reflect their great desire to serve the Lord in that community.
I have investigated the cost of putting a concrete-block building there that will be a blessing to the congregation. It appears this can be done for around $25,000 US. Is there any way you can help us to build a permanent church building at Tuschen that will equip these brethren to reach out to their community? We don’t have to build an elaborate costly facility but we do need a good functional building. I sincerely believe that his congregation has tremendous growth potential with its excellent location coupled with the advantage they have of Hari Persuad and his sweet family working with them.
Please make your check for any amount you can give to Amridge University and put a note with it indicating your contribution is for the building at Tuschen, Guyana. Send your contribution to Amridge University, PO Box 240240, Montgomery, AL 36124-0240. Your contribution is tax-deductible and you will always receive back in the mail a receipt for your tax records. I would deeply appreciate your serious consideration of this special need. I know we can do this with God’s blessings!
